Ginger beer bottling
There were 15L left after dipping in every so often. Adding 0.17g/L of potassium sorbate is about the most we can put in without it being tasteable; that's 2.55g. Potassium sorbate has a density of 1.36g/cm3, though the powder's a bit lumpy, so I'm going to head for half a teaspoon - a teaspoon is 5ml - for the whole lot. Then it's out into bottles, and time to clean up!
FG 1.001
1056-1001 = 55; 55/7.45 = 7.4% abv.
Mmm, delicious! This one threw pretty much zero sediment.
End products. The demijohn with airlock was the last vessel filled, and still seems to be bubbling every four or five minutes. There's almost certainly not enough potassium sorbate around, but we couldn't put more in - and anyway, fizzy is good! No glass containers were used that didn't have an easy gas escape route.
